     Baumgardner Farms in Emmitsburg, Maryland, began four generations ago when my grandfather, John M. Baumgardner, began farming here in 1914.  Ever since, we have worked to provide our customers with the highest quality farm fresh foods. We respect the earth and her soil and take pride in being the best stewards of our land, using crop rotation and conservation friendly practices.  Our animals are naturally fed with no growth hormones.  

     At the market, what we do not grow ourselves we source from neighboring farms. We take pride in our local community, and in bringing the best of that community to you. Your satisfaction is our priority – our goal is to make the Harvest Barn a place you’ll want to visit again and again.
